Bachelor of Visual Communication
- Graphic design, advertising and media

Are you interested in communication through words, photos, design, colours and typography? Then the programme in Visual Communication at the University College of Buskerud may be something for you. There are about 90 students enrolled spread across three years. The emphasis of the programme is on graphic design through practical design work and theory.

Courses in English

The course options offered in English consist of topics within graphic design with a full/time study load of 30 ECTS per semester. 

If you wish to study at the University college of Buskerud for one term, you may choose to start 5th or 6th term. To enrol, students are expected to have completed first year of their bachelor degree. Basic skills in graphic design, electronic tools (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) and web design are also expected to enter the courses.

Locality

The programme in Visual Communication is localised in Drammen – a medium-sized Norwegian city with a population of approximately 70.000. Drammen is situated at the head of a fiord and has a number of cafés and restaurants, cinemas, theatres, possibilities for hiking and a lot of student activities. The mountains and outdoors activities are within easy reach. If you wish to experience big city life Oslo is only 30 minutes away. The programme in Visual Communication is situated in the centre of Drammen and is localized together with other programmes of study at Buskerud University College at a brand new campus. The Norwegian School of Management BI, different innovation companies, a library, cafés and a career centre are found within the same locality.
